Preserve Family History by Recording Life Stories
The world is full of people of all walks of life who desire to share and preserve their life story – to be remembered by family, friends and associates — many in your own locale.
My father-in-law served in World War II D-Day Invasion. We are fortunate to have preserved his memories to video for generations to come – telling his life story in his own words, voice and mannerisms – in his own way.
My mom was artistic and outgoing. She was a real people-person who loved her friends and her family, and meeting new people. But my talented mother passed away several years ago and my children barely remember her, and they’ll never again hear her singing voice or her telling stories about her life in her own words.
My earliest memories of my grandmother include her singing ditties and telling stories about her youth. She sparked my interest in writing and in history. Fortunately I was able to capture her written biography before she passed on; and while our family cherishes her memories, they the written word does not convey her voice and they cannot see her on film recalling her life memories.

Video Biography Life Stories:
- Can be about parents, grandparents, heritage, customs and traditions.
- Can be created for an anniversary, graduation, wedding, memorial and other celebration or special occasion.
- Can be about their life events overall or about a specific event or topic (war experiences, career, travel, family, achievements, etc), or a tribute to a friend or loved one. Or them expressing their values and beliefs.
- The Video Biography need not contain every single memory. The main purpose is to allow future generations to catch a glimpse of their loved one, talking about their life, in their own words while hearing their voice and seeing their mannerisms.
- The Video Legacy can also be of service to people with special needs – such as before the Alzheimer’s takes away his recollection of his loved ones and caregivers to help his remember who they are.
